If you ever need something to get you going watch a few episodes of Hoarders and remember the Collyer Brothers and their home of filth.
The Collyer brothers were the first photographically documented case of hoarding. Langley and Homer lived in seclusion in this lovely brownstone in Manhattan. Langley died after being crushed by his own rubble and Homer, blind and paralyzed, starved in his chair.
